Here I am thinking back at the day we met,
That day that I laid eyes on you and fell in love right away, I will never forget.
Never knowing that we would end up together a year later,
When I first met you, I had my doubts that you would be interested in someone like me due to hearing people say “she’s ugly, I would never date her.”
I wasn’t expecting you,
But the most amazing and best thing I ever did in my life was falling in love with you.
I remember purposely passing through where you were just to be able to see you for a couple seconds,
God heard my prayer “to send me a good man” and he sent you to me from the heavens.
I hope you know that I love you so much with every ounce of my being,
All that you are is all that I’ll ever need.
I hope you know that when you’re feeling down, I only ever strive for your happiness,
I pray for our love to have no end.
I hope you remember that no matter what, I’m here for you and I fully intended of saying this for quite sometime,
My love for you I would put together in this sweet and melodious rhyme.
I hope you recognize the fact that I appreciate and adore you without restraints, and that will never change,
You will forever be my always.
I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I’m with you,
Being with you makes everything negative disappear from view.
You play the lead role in a movie called “My Life”,
I fell in love right away when you first came in sight.
Today marks 2 years and 9 months together,
I often imagine our future with kids and I just can’t think of nothing better.
Before I met you, I never knew what it was like to be able to look at someone and smile for no reason,
But one simple glance from you would make my heart beat like a drum and I never understood the meaning.
I fell in love with you because you loved me when I couldn’t love myself,
I’m so happy and I don’t need anyone else.
Through thick and thin, I’ll accept you at your strongest yet love and support you at your weakest,
I’m grateful for many blessings in my life, but you are one of my biggest.
Ever since I met you, my life became a roller coaster ride! You have become the special part of my life that I will never go of,
When we were first going out on our first dates, I noticed how nervous we both were, the way you looked at me and in that moment I knew... we were both falling in love.
What can I say to you that I haven’t already said? What can I give to you that I haven’t already given? How can I ever begin to describe that by looking at your eyes, you make all my pain disappear? 
Through everything, you’ve stayed with me throughout all these years.
I will cherish the love you have given me and I will love you until God decides it is time for us to leave this earth,
Thanks to you, I found my worth.
We talk about who the lucky one is, but the truth is we are both lucky to have found each other when we did, because I believe we were meant to,
We saved each other, I could not bear to ever be without you. You are my soulmate and everything I am, I give to you and everything I have, I share with you. This is my promise to you.
I just want you to know,
I promise that I will always be there for you, in good times and bad, may we always laugh together like we go now, and may the stormy days we encounter and the trails we face only ever makes us stronger.
Now lastly, happy anniversary baby,
I promise to always love you, to grow along with you, to be willing to face change as we both change in order to keep our relationship alive and exciting.
